Sunday, Muddy Sunday
Hello, my lovely audience. *looks out over room, which is empty except for the drunk guy asleep on the back table* I know I haven't been doing a wonderful job of keeping current with this thing. Oh, sure, I say I'm going to write a lot, and then *crickets chirp* nothing happens.
Well, I make no promises. After all, I often don't have anything of interest to talk about. But from now on, I'm going to make an effort to drop by here every Sunday and give a little update into the Fascinating World of Donna. (Yeah, I'm not buying it either.)
Let's see now... what kinds of interesting things happened this week?
Classes started up again here at good ol' BG. All the floods of students have returned, and brought with them their beer and their slutty clothes and their airhead attitudes. I mean.... they've come back, ready to learn. (I'm not a bitter old townie, I swear...) I miss nice quiet summer BG. Luckily I live off the beaten path, far enough away from campus proper to avoid a majority of the craziness. And when I'm not in a "get offa my lawn you crazy kids" kind of mood, it's entertaining to watch. :)
This semester, I am doing the part time student thing, and just taking flute lessons. I wanted to do an ensemble, but frankly, I can't afford it when each credit hour is $490. I like band, but I also like to pay my rent. :) It feels very weird to not be doing the "going to class every day" sort of thing. And I miss people that used to be around all the time... why can't you all come back and be quasi-townies with me?!? Come back!!!! *whimpers, bottom lip quivers* But, I'm sure that once I settle into a regular schedule, including lots of practicing, I'll feel a little more like it's not still summer.
Apparently the weather's going to be helping me out with that too. Hot weather at the beginning of the week, then RAIN at the end. But I love rain, so it's a good thing. (Plus, my ceiling is not leaking like it did last fall *knocks on wood*) I'm also looking very much forward to fall, which is naturally followed by winter. (Um, yeah... duh... ok, moving on...)
Well... that's about all I got right now. If anything terribly exciting happens, you'll be the first to know... ok, well, maybe the fourth or fifth...
